Nuclear technology and its capabilities have become a crucial factor in determining a nation's standing and the gains or advantages it can acquire against adversaries and threats to its political system. This has led many countries to pursue nuclear technology and utilize it in various fields. However, this pursuit has become a major problem for many nations, with threats and intimidation becoming the norm in attempts to prevent or suppress countries seeking to acquire or utilize this energy. This is the context for this book on Arabs and nuclear energy. Understanding the objectives behind nuclear programs is a somewhat difficult task, as countries often do not readily reveal their goals and ambitions, especially if they face challenges and threats from various parties who fear these ambitions and programs.
