Josè Palmer and Reinette Lombard, the authors and creators of Tippie, are a mother-and-daughter team with a combined 47 years of experience in education. Both Josè and Reinette are passionate about reading and learning. Through the LEER MY LEES / LEARN TO READ series, their aim is to show children that reading can be fun. With its colourful illustrations and engaging content, this reading series is not only enjoyable to read but also helps to develop vocabulary and comprehension skills. Dr Nandi Lessing-Venter is a researcher in the field of children's literature, with a particular interest in the role of humour in motivating reluctant readers. Through her research and experience, she advocates the use of humour in children's books as an effective way to engage, inspire, and captivate young readers.
