¿Under Milk Wood` is the final work of Dylan Thomas (1914-1953), one of the greatest English poets of his century. Published posthumously in 1954, it soon gained wide popularity and came to be regarded as his masterpiece. He wrote this ¿Play of Voices` about a fictional Welsh coastal town called Llaregyb, populated by quite eccentric inhabitants. For twenty-four hours they are observed with close - and satirical - attention: their dreams, their actions, and their salty exchanges.
