1980, Colorado. Paul Thornton, chief of the St. Joseph Police Department, is not having his best day. His wife has left him, having fled to Aspen to live with a better set of people. And the town council is looking for a reason to fire him.
Deputy U.S. Marshal Sharon Torres is in St. Joseph to find a couple of escaped fugitives. What she doesn't know is that those fugitives have already been murdered by members of the Aryan Front.
The Front is now looking for a missing man and a bagful of money. The man calls himself Russell McIntire, but he's keeping a secret from everyone. He's on the run from the police, the feds, and Colorado Nazis. He's none too happy when he finds himself in the custody of a handful of mountain town cops and a couple of deputy marshals far from home. But they may be his only hope of staying alive.
A blizzard is coming to Tenkiller Pass. It's going to be a long night.
