Addison Collins spent her summers vacationing at her family's beach house in Pebble Beach; a small, coastal town on Vancouver Island where she met her teenage crush, Liam Tremblay, fifteen years ago. Their days were filled with beach volleyball, music, and bomb fires, while sneaking in alone time, knowing their attraction to each other was just a summer fling. Pebble Beach feels like the perfect escape after a breakup. Addison quits her job as a personal trainer to reevaluate her life by spending time with her widowed mom and her high-maintenance sister. Liam Tremblay returned to Pebble Beach for familiarity, since his job as an NHL captain of the Ottawa Steam had him splitting his time between road trips. The one thing he's reminded every time he watches the sunset at his parent's beach-front home, are the summers he had with Addy. She was never bothered by his obsession with hockey or the fact that he couldn't commit to her, but he would never forgive himself for telling her he didn't want a long-distance relationship.
