Now in his eighties, George Brosi lives in Western North Carolina. He is on the Coordinating Committee of the North Carolina Poor People's Campaign, the board of an organization that supports the Cherokees, and on the Steering Committee of an LGBTQ+ and allies group. Brosi and his late wife, Connie, raised seven children in Appalachia close to the land. They and thirteen grandchildren continue to enrich his life.
