Patricia Gherovici is a psychoanalyst and analytic supervisor in private practice in Philadelphia and recipient of the Sigourney Award. A three-time winner of the Gradiva Award, she is also the recipient of the Boyer Prize and the American Board and Academy of Psychoanalysis Book Prize. She is the author or editor of numerous books, including The Puerto Rican Syndrome, Transgender Psychoanalysis: A Lacanian Perspective on Sexual Difference, and Psychoanalysis, Gender and Sexualities: From Feminism to Trans*. She is an Honorary Member at the Institute for Psychoanalytic Training and Research (IPTAR), Founding Member of Das Unbehagen, and co-founder and trustee of Pulsion: The International Institute of Psychoanalysis and Psychoanalytic Psychosomatics, New York.
