The sudden appearance of a big hopper swarm throws Sutrena into chaos. Agnes and Nazelbart's quick response keeps the damage to a minimum, but the mystery of the manabeasts' origin only deepens. As our heroes are busy dealing with the aftermath of the attack on top of other responsibilities-such as taking in students from Peppel Island-dire news arrives from the capital! Big hoppers have also attacked the city and the surrounding fields. King Bertrand summons our leading couple to share information and hopefully find a way to combat the manabeast menace. There is at least one happy event, though, as the neighboring Kingdom of Suntogg has proposed a marriage between one of its princesses and Prince Leonardo. While he has definitely grown more competent, will Leonardo be able to form a proper relationship when he's avoided it his whole life?
