September 26, 2006, via Hollywood Records. Hudgens stated the title of
the album stands for Vanessa, but also for variety, because the album is
a mix of genres and styles. V had sold 600,000 copies in the U.S. as of
August 2009. It nevertheless became Hudgens's and a High School
Musical's star best-selling album. V, has sold over 1,500,000 copies
worldwide, being her best-selling album by far. Hudgens supported the
album with the The Party's Just Begun Tour and High School Musical: The
Concert.
