Dr. Alchristian Villaruz is an emergency physician, U.S. Navy and Marine Corps veteran, and immigrant whose life has been shaped by service, sacrifice, and a deep search for meaning. A graduate of the University of Notre Dame and the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, he has spent decades on the front lines of both medicine and military service, caring for patients in high-pressure emergency settings and deploying to regions including Western Africa, the Balkans and Operation Iraqi Freedom.Throughout his career, Dr. Villaruz has witnessed humanity at its most vulnerable and most courageous. These experiences, combined with his Christian worldview, have led him to a profound conviction that God is present not only in moments of triumph, but in life's most difficult and unexpected encounters.Now practicing emergency medicine in a rural community, he continues to draw insight from everyday interactions with patients, families, and strangers alike.
