Education is the backbone of a nation. Education empowers not only the individuals but also the nation states as a whole.

Education starts from classrooms. Classroom teaching in the 90s and today is not the same. There are significant changes in the approaches of teaching. ICT is taking a great role in the classroom teaching. Teachers and educators are using ICTs in the classrooms now than the previous time. Especially, after the COVID crisis, the inertia of using ICTs is not evident like the past as teachers and educators used a lot of ICTs during COVID pandemic.

Teaching grammar is not easy. As an English teacher, I taught English from 2003 to 2017 in different level in Bangladesh. I found teaching English grammar is very tough, and takes a lot of energy in terms of picking the right technique, making teaching aids, using the right approach, assessing the learning and examining the outcomes. Teachers in this age need to do more to attract the already tired learners.

Not all parents can manage to send their children to an English medium schools/British curriculum schools as there are many major issues regarding this, like- less British curriculum schools, high fees, religious issues, etc. So the parents prefer to send their children to an English version schools where national curriculum is taught in English. But this system needs serious scrutiny for development.

This book is a collection of research papers I have done in different period. The four papers I have accommodated here concentrate on role of ICT in teaching, grammar teaching, English version education in Bangladesh, and modern teaching.
