Dr Erik Kiekens, born 1959, is an independent chemist and works primarily on projects dealing with circular chemistry and climate change. He discovered sailing when he was a student and bought his first boat in 1986. He has more than 40 years sailing experience by now. In 2017 he set off for a journey around the world in his boat Dr NO.
