Gabriel Ramón is an associate professor in the Department of Humanities of the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru. His research in Andean archaeology focuses on pottery theory, periodization, landscape models, and itinerant production. He also works on Andean urban history. His previous books include La muralla y los callejones, El Neoperuano, and the edited volume Monumentos y nación en el Perú actual. He has recently co-edited a special issue of the Boletín del Instituto Francés de Estudios Andinos entitled "Etnografía alfarera y arqueología andina."
