Born and raised in the harbour town of Cobh, Michelle is a crime and thriller writer who didn't always know that that was what she wanted to be, despite being raised in a family of whodunit experts. What she did know was that she wanted to experience a life less ordinary, so she detoured into the army where she went from recruit, to infantry soldier, to United Nations Peacekeeper in the Middle East, before becoming one of the first female instructors in the Irish infantry back home.Fast forward to today and Michelle has published psychological thrillers worldwide. Her Lindsey Ryan series is currently in development for television and was shortlisted for the Book Blogger's Novel of the Year Award in 2021. She also has two women's fiction titles to her name. Michelle is the organiser and programmer of Ireland's most unique crime writing festival, the Spike Island Literary Festival (like Alcatraz, only Irish!) and from 2024 she will also be joining Dublin's International Crime festival, Murder One, as programmer. When not immersed in the world of crime fiction, Michelle can be found on the side-lines of various U7 football fields, up mountains, or playing Barbie with her daughter.
