Berkay Karakurt is a twenty-something author. Writing found its way into his life through an unconventional path when he and his friends embarked on a game development project. While it never reached completion; he never considered the project a failure for he had found his passion in life through it.
Berkay's early attempts at writing were heavily influenced by the works of renowned author Etgar Keret, whose storytelling prowess left an indelible mark on his own creative process. Etgar Keret's stories continue to inspire him as he explores new horizons in his writing. Berkay's love for storytelling knows no bounds, extending to his fascination with cinema and video games which he embraced as an essential part of his creative world.
Berkay Karakurt has authored a book titled "Notes From the Abyss," a piece of absurdist fiction where he argues about; life, death, and their profound meaninglessness through a set of eccentric characters.
Currently, Berkay is hard at work on another standalone piece, "Devil's Jellyfish," a dystopian-thriller.
