Saccharum is a complex genus characterized by high ploidy levels and composed of at least six distinct species - S. officinarum, S. barberi, S. sinensis, S. spontanum, S. robustum and S. edule. Principal Component Analysis in ten accessions of sugarcane (Saccharum officinarum L.) was conducted; analysis of variance indicated highly significant differences among the accessions for all the traits. Principal Component Analysis (PCA) is a way of identifying patterns in data, and expressing the data in such a way as to highlight their similarities and differences. Micro propagation is a technique to produce disease free plants. The aim of the present study was to investigate the response of three sugarcane accessions for callogenesis and organogenesis.
